    Description

For sale is a rare vintage Moni doll in her original, nearly undamaged box (see photographs). She measures about 7 1/2" and is
    in
    mint
condition, again, please refer to the photographs
. This doll has never been played with, nor has she been removed from her box except for these pictures. She has never been detached from the box insert and is from a smoke-free home.
A Moni is a jointed vinyl doll with rooted hair.
As you can see, she is a charming little doll.
Moni dolls are rare because they were only in production for about one year. Production ended because legal action was taken against Uranium (the Moni manufacturer) for infringement of Sasha's copyright. These little dolls are very hard to find. Although rare, they are great to use as a play doll for the full-sized original Sasha.
    The face
    style,
body design and body color are clearly intended to mimic the original Sasha doll (hence the lawsuit). These so-called "mini Sashas" have factory-screened painted faces whereas the Sasha dolls they copy are hand painted faces. The Moni dolls were actually made in Hong Kong despite the suggestion that they were Swiss-made. The dolls were made in both boy and girl forms, just denoted by hair length. They had hair colors of platinum, blonde, and brunette, and they had a complete range of outfits available as boxed sets (not included).
The included pictures are an integral part of this description, please look closely. I have tried to photograph any blemishes I have noticed. The only problems are with the box, not the doll.
