Colored Skirt Tetra -
Gymnocorymbus ternetzi
A commonly available and popular fish, the Colored Skirt Tetra is a strain of fish developed from the White Tetra that have a natural pink or blue coloration. The White Tetra itself was developed from the Blackskirt Tetra. Like its predecessor, this fish also makes a very good fish for the beginner. It is very active and fast moving, but does have a tendency towards fin nipping. Because of this it should not be kept with smaller fishes, but will do very well in a community tank with larger fishes. These fish are a bit more difficult to breed than the White Tetra, probably because of their being highly inbred already.
Originating from Brazil. About six centimeters in length, the first half of the wider body, the latter part of the sudden narrow lanes like translucent, male’s body is small and bright, female’s body is large and light in color, marked hypertrophy of the breeding season the abdomen. Color skirt mild fish, Oi Kwan Yu in the lower waters, for fear of shock. Long-term if the environment is noisy shallow body color. Water temperature 20 degrees below the long-term, then the body color turns to lighter color, disappeared.
The Colored Skirt Tetras like a well lit tank with dense areas of bunched low vegetation, which leaves lots of open areas for swimming. Being a schooling fish they will appreciate the company of their own kind, a standard school is made up of about 7 fish. They are hardy at 70° F to 90° F, but are prone to develop ick if kept in colder temperatures.
White Skirt Tetras are often dyed in various pastels colors. Both natural and artificially dyed specimens are sold under various colored names like the Blueberry Tetra, Strawberry Tetra, or Rainbow Tetra.  Be sure to inquire about which type of specimen you are obtaining.

Green Military Turban is a species of sea snail, marine gastropod mollusk in the family Turbinidae.
Commonly known as alikrekel, periwinkle, and Maggie pie.
Green Military Turbo shells are seashells that are naturally green with some hints of brown. Turbo shells are also known as turban seashells.
The shell is silver and greenish in colour with orange and brown markings covering the surface. This species can be found in the low tide zone of rocky headlands and it is known to feed on Cunjevoi and algae. The Military Turban (
Turbo militaris
) grows to a maximum width of approximately 10cm.
These snails live in tropical reefs in the Indian and western Pacific oceans. They are nocturnal and feed on algae.
The shells are more or less highly conspiral, thick, first whorls bicarinate, last whorl large often with strong spiral sculpture, knobs or spines, base convex, with or without umbilicus. Species in this genus have a round aperture and a solid, dome-shaped calcareous operculum.
The first
Turbo
species were found in the Upper Cretaceous approx. 100 million years ago.
Turbo
shells are a favorite choice of shells for
Coenobita clypeatus
, the Caribbean hermit crab or "purple pincher" as it is known in the pet trade.
Turbos are not an endangered species and are not subject to CITES control.
