Description
John Ward is the former radio play-by-play broadcaster for the University of Tennessee, primarily from 1965 until 1999. Ward's first broadcast of a University of Tennessee basketball game for the Vol Network came in 1958. In 1968, Bill Anderson returned to Tennessee as color analyst for football games on the Vol Network, partnered with play-by-play announcer John Ward. Ward and Anderson would remain together for 31 years, the longest-running broadcast partnership in college football at the time.
