Giant Humboldt Squid beak, massive specimen

Description

This is the beak of a Humboldt squid, one of the most voracious predators in the ocean.
Absolutely massive specimen.  Measures 3.25 inches in length (from bottom tip to back) and a whopping 3.38 in width.  Hard and sharp.  To give that some scale, an average beak from a 30 pound squid is only about the size of a quarter.
The two halves have been mounted together since they come out of the squid separately and are connected by a round white
muscle when inside its body.
Incredibly rare to find them at this size anymore so if you're a collector looking for the biggest and the best, this is your opportunity.  I have not caught a Humboldt since 2009 so this is actually a very old specimen and I doubt they will ever return.
