Early American RARE Twig Adirondack 1897 FLUME Carved Cane
This cane is carved out of one piece of wood and has unusual squares and round circle cut out of the bark.
“FLUME” “1897”IS CARVED OUT OF THE TOP OF THE CANE
Approximate measurements:
48 1/2” long
Handle 1” wide
Base 1/2” wide
The Flume is a trophy trout stream that has been known for 100s of years in the Adirondacks near Whiteface Mountain in Wilmington, NY.
I have personally fished there many times and it is incredible and beautiful. It has rustic waterfalls through solid granite and huge boulders just a few miles from the olympic ski area in wilmington NY
This cane was inspired by a place in the Adirondacks.IF YOU LOOK AT THE BENT BRANCHES OF WOOD COMING OUT OF THE CANE ITSELF ;THESE ARE ACTUAL A PART OF THE ORIGINAL TREE LIMB  WOOD IN THE CANE;NOT SOMETHING THAT HAS BEEN PUT AND ADDED TO THE CANE.THIS CAME OUT OF AN ESTATE OF A SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY PROFESSOR THAT WAS IN HIS 90'S WHEN I PURCHASED IT FROM HIM 10 YEARS AGO.THERE IS A FEW PIECES OF WOOD MISSING SO BUY IT THAT WAY; WE HAVE MADE AN EFFORT TO TAKE A LOT OF PHOTOS SO REMEMBER IT IS SOLD AS IS WHERE IS.    THANK YOU  AND LOOK FORWARD TO BUYING A ONE OF A KIND AND VERY RARE PIECE OF AMERICAN FOLK ARK THAT I HAVE CHERISHED SINCE I FOUND IT;THERE IS ONLY ONE OF THESE ON THIS PLANET!!!.    JERRY
