    Description

    BERLIN MOVERS AND SHAKERS
Collection of 6 (SIX!) different century old Berlin Street Car Co. 2 Mark banknotes that were spendable on rail travel!!
These were not only practical (being worth money and a ride) but
    collectible
    - even then - due to their beautiful engraving and images depicting the history of Berlin Transportation from 1830 to the then present day (1922).
2 of the notes show old horse drawn coaches on cobblestone streets, one an intimate jalopy made for 2, the other a classic German post coach that carried people too, with the driver blowing his horn.
The other 4 all show trains or trolleys, including:
a steam locomotive crossing the High Bridge over the Landwehr Canal built 1900 and/or
Berlin's first electric train at an 1869 Expo and/or the Hallischer Tor in 1918 (central hub of the city's transportation system - trams galore!)
    and/or
    a steam driven trolley in 1877 and/or
a quaint Tom Thumb type train chugging out of Potsdam Station in 1838 and/or
a packed 3-car trolley pulled by a steam driven locomotive!
    Designs and colors may vary
but all 4 will be different.
The ornate red front of each bill has the denomination, a fancy embossed seal surmounted by "Good For 2 Marks" and the legendary Berlin Bear.
All notes are crisp uncirculated or close to it (1 or 2 may have light handling - perhaps having even been used!).
This collection, priced at only .89 per bill, combines railroad history, financial history, Berlin history, great nostalgic artwork and bona fide antiquity! Simply irresistible! Retail Value in Uncirculated . Buy Now for .49!
