    Description

This 1969 Jeepster Commando was acquired by the seller from California in 2014 and subsequently refinished in red with a metallic gray hardtop and accents. Power comes from a 225ci V6 paired with a three-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case. Modifications include four-wheel disc brakes, steel bumpers, a winch, a swing-away spare tire carrier, Chevrolet truck seats, a tool box, a JVC touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, a tilt steering column, auxiliary instrumentation, an aluminum radiator, and more. This Jeepster is offered with records from current ownership, uninstalled stock parts, a black Bestop bikini-style top
-The body was stripped to bare metal, fitted with a replacement tailgate, and refinished in red with metallic gray wheel arches, rocker panels, and custom steel bumpers. Holes for previously-fitted door locks were filled, reflectors were replaced, and the fuel filler was converted from an external cap to a hinged door. Additional modifications include a remote-controlled winch hidden under a diamond-plate panel behind the front bumper, a roller fairlead, LED fog lights, aftermarket mirrors, and refinished badges. The seller reports several chips in the paint.
-Aluminum 15? wheels wear 31? Ironman All-Country A/T tires, and a spare is mounted to a swing-out carrier at the rear. The metallic gray aluminum hardtop is equipped with sliding side windows as well as roof rails. The braking system has been converted to four-wheel discs and the master cylinder, lines, and other items replaced.
-Reupholstered front seats from a Chevrolet truck featured integrated three-point seatbelts, while the two-seat rear bench is trimmed to match. Black rubber mats protect the floors, which have been lined with a textured coating. The bolt-in roll bar wears red padding with tears shown up close in the gallery below. A lockable diamond-plate storage chest is affixed to the cargo area with four bolts and can be removed.
-The steering wheel is mounted on a tilting column from a Cherokee and frames a sweep speedometer with a five-digit mechanical odometer that reads just over 12k miles. Approximately 3k miles have been added during the seller?s ownership, and actual mileage is unknown. The steel dash is painted to match the body and houses a diamond-plate panel containing a JVC touchscreen head unit with Apple CarPlay, a cell phone mount, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. Aftermarket switches and new dashboard decals have been added. A stock dash is included with the sale.
-The 225ci V6 features a single carburetor that is said to have been overhauled under current ownership. The seller notes that the engine can be slow to start over in cold weather, reportedly due to the rear-mounted fuel pump. Additional parts replaced under current ownership include the following:
    Spark plugs and wires
    Distributor cap, rotor, and points
    Aluminum radiator, cap, and hoses
    Heater core
    Fuel sending unit
    Oil pressure lines
    Alternator
    Choke
-Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case said to have been overhauled.
